Consumer products design distinction international design or i.d. magazine announced that 3000 products were submitted for their 46th i.d. annual design review across 8 categories. winners, including the strida folding bicycle, appear in the july / august 2000 issue.

Millennium product award prime minister tony blair, on behalf of the british design council, selected the strida folding bike to be a millenium product. it was honored as one of "the most innovative products available and a glimpse into the future". the exibition of winners is displayed in a spiral of innovation that will tour the world.
